Bienvenue …means WELCOME in French. However, this is DALLAS, so I guess I should rephrase that into a HEY Y’ALL! Yeah, yeah, even though us ladies look chic and manicured from head to toe, don’t deny “y’all” isn’t a frequented word in your vocabulary! (it sure is in mine!) I am tickled to be nearing the official launch of Dolled Up Dallas (hopefully happening next weekend), a little vision I have had in my blonde brain for quite some time now…
I grew up in Denton and remember taking the almost hour drive into Dallas with my mom on occasion for some special mission that required going into the actual city. Leaving Denton and entering Dallas felt like being transported into another world. A world that was much more glamorous and flashy than Denton could ever hope to be. Everything from the people, to the food, to the atmosphere just had a different air and feel. The whole city was invigorating and full of life, not to mention good to look at with it’s women seemingly always perfect. Dallasites intrigued me, and I wanted to be among the spectacle. I was never old enough to experience Dallas the way it deserved to be discovered when I lived here as a teenager, but, now that I’m back, I’m writing my own chapter, and getting a feel for this city in any and all ways possible, and I’ll be darned if I’m not DOLLED UP doing it.. but more about me later.
This is my story, these are my visions and experiences. I’m a dreamer, destinationest, and now yes, a Dallasite.
